Bea Arthur Dies

Sad sad sad!

One of my favorite actresses died on Saturday. Beatrice Arthur lost a battle with cancer on Saturday, April 25th. She was my favorite as Dorothy Zbornak and she did Saturday Night Livr several times. She also did a few Sex and the City parodies on YouTube. Funny! Funny! Funny!

Beatrice "Bea" Arthur (May 13, 1922 – April 25, 2009) was an American comedienne, actress, and singer. In a career spanning seven decades, Arthur achieved success as the title character, Maude Findlay, on the 1970s sitcom Maude, and as Dorothy Zbornak on the 1980s sitcom The Golden Girls; she won Emmys for both roles.

Welcome into the Family

David and I are proud owners of a new SUV. A 2009 Vokswagen Tiguan, Black.
We bought it on Wednesday and it finally arrived yesterday and I am super excited. Check it out for yourself. Black and Chrome were our colors of choice, coupled with a panoramic sun roof made this car irresistable.

AUSTIN — The Texas Department of Public Safety has redesigned the state's driver's licenses and identification cards to enhance security, the agency announced Wednesday.

Production of the new cards began April 15 for customers receiving new, renewal or duplicate licenses and ID cards. Current driver licenses and ID cards will be phased out as they expire.

"The changes will give law enforcement improved resources for verifying the authenticity of Texas-issued driver licenses and identification cards, while combating counterfeiting, photo swapping, tampering and other types of fraud," said DPS Director Col. Stanley E. Clark.

DPS would not discuss the additional security features.

The redesigned cards show the Austin skyline along the top.

The last redesign for most licenses and IDs was in June 2001.

Last year the agency changed the way ID cards and licenses look for people who aren't U.S. citizens or permanent residents but still have permission to live in the country. The licenses are marked with the words "Temporary Visitor" and includes the date permission to live in the U.S. expires. Also, the picture and information are displayed vertically, similar to that of a person under age 21.

Silly? Not us!

Sorry Mom, these had to be posted for the world to see! :)

Is there anything he can't do? I am afraid not!

I leave David home for one day and he re-sands the picnic table, re-stains, re-laquers it......Like that's not enough, he runs electricity from one place to another and hooks up flood lights in the back yard. I just wanted to brag on David and give him his 5 minutes of fame...I am impressed! I did not even have to ask!

BTW, I found this picture the other day, this was our Golden Leo Picture from our Senior year in college. David is in the back row, (second), Olga second row last. Enjoy.

Update on a busy life

So I really have not disappeared. I was just so busy that I had put the blog aside for a couple of weeks.

I made it through our National Sales Meeting, which went great and caught up on missing 4 days of work. I worked from home yesterday because i did not feel like driving in yucky weather that presented itself yesterday and caught up on more work. David ended up taking off so he can hang out with me.

With that being said, it is Saturday and I have a million things to do like oil changes, grocery trips, laundry, ironing, a birthday party to attend, anti virus to install and yadda yadda yadda.....

I just wanted to let people know that I am alive!
