Update on David

As some of you know, David's class in Austin got cancelled and David came home yesterday evening. He only had enought time to re-pack his bags and take off for Houston this afternoon. He is helping with Hurricane Ike.

I was really worried about him leaving but I know that he is with a great group of guys (Troopers) and they take care of each other well.

Right now, things aren't looking too good for Houston or Galveston. In fact, some computer models show a completely flooded Galveston (15 foot water surge) and a possible flooding all the way to downtown Houston. Scary!

So, I will keep you updated on Dave's adventures so stay tuned!

THings are starting to look too real for Galveston, the mood is passed on to here, the Dallas area, some people are freaking out
They asked people of Houston not to evacuate, so I hope it means they know it will not get Houston to cause a major disaster

well, the thing is that the computer models can't really predict the storm. they are really having a hard time. if worse comes to worse, part of galveston may be under 15 feet of water. they are expecting a water surge. The storm will be pretty bad for Houston and Galveston. Not so much here but the rains will be very bad. I am staying home and not leaving. That's cool though, i could use a break.
